About

One half of the founding duo of Clashmore Mike, I grew up in Northern Indiana and was steeped from childhood in the lore and traditions of the University of Notre Dame du Lac. I'm primarily responsible for the actual site itself and all of the coding and organization that goes into it. I also serve as the final hurdle articles must clear before getting published for public consumption. In my spare time I enjoy cigars, microbrews, soccer, music, and a healthy dose of video games.

Just a quick note to fill everyone in that Anthony has been participating in a roundtable discussion over at Inside the Irish with representatives Frank Vitovitch of UHND, Matt Quirion of Her Loyal Sons, Chris Wilson and Matt Barcus of Rakes of Mallow, Pat Rigney, formerly of Blue-Gray Sky, and NBC Sports blogger Keith Arnold regarding the top 25 players on the Irish roster heading …

Clashmore Mike Welcomes Andrew Crafton

It’s been a quiet month and a half around here. Never fear, we’re not going the way of Blue-Gray Sky (thanks for the shout out, guys and, more importantly, for inspiring so many of us to start writing online about this love we all share), but real life commitments, some even Notre Dame-related, have definitely demanded more of our time here in the off season …

A 2010 Blue-Gold Game Viewing Guide

With the eve of the 2010 Blue-Gold game upon us, I thought I would sit down in advance of the game and remind myself of the potential pitfalls and healthy guidelines one needs to keep in mind when viewing the Fighting Irish’s spring scrimmage. All too often, those of us that bleed blue and gold forget to put down the Kool Aid long enough to …

This will be the second time Pilcher has provided Notre Dame-centric analysis on Chicago’s 670 The Score and this time around he figures to weigh in on the coaching change and recent hiring of …

2009 Blue-Gold Game Reactions

The 2009 Blue-Gold Game at Notre Dame Stadium threatened to turn into a snooze-fest for the fans and it appeared, for a significant number of those in attendance, that this ended up being the case. As numerous publications and pundits cautioned before the game, it can be futile to infer too much about the status of a team following a spring scrimmage, but surely there …

Notre Dame’s Kickers: Kicked to the Curb

The Notre Dame kicking game the past two years, featuring the first two kickers that Charlie Weis has recruited, has had one signature trait: inconsistency. And we’re not talking about your typical college gamble on a 40+ yard field goal attempt either. This inconsistency is marked by the sound of every Notre Dame fan in the country collectively biting their fingernails whenever a 4th down …
